MARCH 2020

Thoughts from the President

As most of you know we have had to postpone the Annual Conference.  We the board members have spent many hours contemplating on what we should do.  We finally decided for everyone’s health and safety postponement was the best.  We want everyone to be as healthy as they can be, after all healthcare is what we do.

- Amy Trivett, CPMSM, CPCS

TAMSS President 2020/2021

Membership Reminder

Don’t let the postponement of the conference keep you from paying your membership dues.  We will still be working to bring you great conference later this year.  You can find the membership form on TAMSS.net under "Membership / Membership Form".

Study Review Course

We are still planning to offer a study course (be on the watch for a Survey for input on when and how).

TAMSS 2020 Communication Avenues

Be sure to check out our newly redesigned web-site.  Kudos to Kane Bach, he has done an excellent job updating the site.  Kane has also been keeping everyone in the loop on our Social Media accounts.

We will still offer scholarships, but will delay the deadline to apply.  We will announce the new deadlines once our conference date is set.

  1. Conference Scholarship – You can apply to receive free conference registration and hotel stay.
  2. NAMSS Scholarship – This winner is awarded $1,500 towards attending the National Meeting, which is in Portland, Oregon this year.
  3. Certification Scholarship – You can apply to receive $500 exam fee if you are testing to obtain your CPCS or CPMSM.

The applications can be found on our website under Member Information / Scholarships.  Application for these should be submitted to Dee Turpin, Our New Secretary.

Do Us a Favor...

If you receive magazines, save those for us.  We have a fun activity planned for the conference, so save them and bring them to conference with you.

Be thinking about your nomination for Most Valuable Professional.  An MVP is someone that has taught you the ropes and shared their knowledge.  Perhaps they provide encouragement or support.  Maybe it is someone you haven’t met in person, but you know you can call them.  Maybe it is your co-worker or boss.  Nominate them by emailing your reason why you wish to nominate them to Vania King at [email protected].
