JOB TITLE: LICENSING & CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST (LCS)

LOCATION: NASHVILLE, TN

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF CLIENT EXPERIENCE

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT


JOB OVERVIEW: The Licensing and Credentialing Team is integrated with business development to enable clients and hospitals to quickly staff the neurophysiological monitoring professional services necessary for patient care. Each LCS professional works with a consistent panel of physicians who are hightly motivated to enable the LCS to complete their tasks. Staff are responsible for all aspects of the licensing, re-licensing, credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for all medical providers who are employed by or contracted with RTNA and its affiliated entities. The LCS team is responsible for ensuring providers’ licenses and credentials with state medical boards and hospitals are obtained in a timely manner, while also maintaining up-to-date documentation of the statuses of all applications for each provider in the L&C databases and online systems to ensure timely renewal of licenses, certifications, and hospital privileges.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers.
  2. Completes provider licensing applications and state renewal applications; monitors applications and follows up as needed and documents progress daily.
  3. Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows up as needed and documents progress daily.
  4. Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
  5. Maintains knowledge of current CME, board eligibility, and malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
  6. Enters and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and systems.
  7. Tracks timelines for all licenses, credentials, & privileges for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
  8. Works closely with our client contacts, providers, L&C managers, and staff to collect all items needed to obtain & maintain all provider licenses and credentials.
  9. Works with various state agencies to obtain & maintain licenses for providers including state medical licenses, DEA certificates, & other certifications.
  10. Maintains confidentiality of provider information.
  11. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.


PRODUCTION GOALS & EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Completes a medical state board licensing application in an average of 8 hours.
  2. Completes a state licensing renewal application in an hour or less.
  3. Completes a credentialing application within 3-5 hours.
  4. Completes a credentialing re-appointment application within 2 hours.
  5. Documents all task activities on the L&C site task list daily.
  6. Makes follow-up calls and emails weekly to gauge progress of all L&C applications.
  7. Documents all follow-up activities on the L&C site task list daily.

  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat (PDF) applications.
  7. Ability to hear and orally communicate effectively.
  8. Ability to read, comprehend, and write the English language.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  1. High School Diploma
  2. A minimum of an Associate degree preferred

Experience:

  1. Must have at least two years of relevant experience
